The Leiser Family

These are the folks to whom Ivy League parents entrust their children, the owners/directors:

Ron and Sandy have owned ILDC for over 30 years. Together with their sons Jonathan and Evan they work all year round, in bringing a nurturing atmosphere to camp.

The Leiser Family are leaders in the camping industry and are often called upon by their colleagues as speakers and camp consultants. Their continued affiliation with the American Camp Association (ACA) fosters their dedication to their profession and their strong belief that “Camp Gives Kids a World of Good”.

Ron and Sandy are former school educators in Health and Physical Education and have vast experience in both day and resident camping. Both hold Masters in Recreation and Camp Administration. Professionally, Ron is a past President of the NJ American Camp Association and has been nominated to serve on the State Youth Camp Safety Committee. Sandy has served on the ACA Board of Trustees for 20 years. Both Ron and Sandy have received numerous awards from the ACA and their colleagues, including the TriState Camping award and several ACA Special Camp Recognition awards.

In 1997 Jonathan joined the ILDC Team after graduating from the University of Delaware with a BS in Recreation and Camping Administration. Evan joined the team in 1999 after completing the Ezersky Camp Safety School and attending Ohio State University. The IL Family has recently expanded to include Jonathan’s wife Alyse and their son Jacob. Alyse works at camp with the youngest campers. Marissa, Evan’s wife and former IL camper herself, works all year at camp as communications and marketing manager. Their son Sam is the most recent Leiser and addition to the family.

When you seek a superior summer experience for your child, it is most important to determine that the camp owners and directors devote their full time careers and professional interests to progressive camp administration.  If that sounds a little serious, remember that at Ivy League the final results of the Leiser Family dedication is BIG LEAGUE FUN!
